Joris van Egmond (1976, Amsterdam, Netherlands) studied at
Academy of Photography in Amsterdam. After his graduation
he worked as a photo assistant for several year. Since 2001,
Joris works as a freelance photographer with a network
containing stylists, visagists, producers providing their
help and expertise. Next to commissioned work for different
magazines and advertisingagencies Joris also works on
serveral personal projects. Currently, he is working on a
project concerning the alternative youth population, so-called
Emo's gothics and othersubcultures meeting in different parks
in the Netherlands. A second project regards the aspect of
night vision in different parts of Amsterdam.
This project "Night Journey" has a more autonome feeling.
